Were Sorry One Note Is Cleaning Up
Hi,
Thank you for posting in Microsoft OneNote Customs.
I would similar to know if you use the OneNote application when the 'Surface Pro three' device is existence charged.
- Close all the open notebooks in OneNote.
- Re-open the OneNote application.
- Create a new notebook and verify if you experience whatever bug with the application.
Permit us know the result to assist y'all farther.

I am having the same problems, also on a Surface Pro 3. I love using it to print a document and marking it up. But, the fact that the images aren't always articulate or displayed at all will likely force me to do document marker-up somewhere else.

Clear OneNote cache and check if that resolve the issue.

This is get-go to exist quite abrasive. I upgraded to Function 2022--aforementioned problem. I just created a new user and opened OneNote--same trouble. What gives!!!!

I am having the aforementioned problem. The only solution I take found, because Microsoft never states a solutions, is to work off the cloud and keep the notebook off line. The cloud which should hateful that ever thing moves from all my reckoner instantly is a lie and Microsoft has lied about the software working. This is my showtime 24-hour interval of grad school and over half of it has been trying to go one annotation to sync. I gave up and now simply export the notebook as a OneNote file to open on other devices. This has removed the freezes and the cache issues.

Articulate your C:\users\%userprofile%\appdata\local\temp folder.
I do that regularly to clear upward buried file issues like this and it resolved information technology for me.

Just updated to Office 2022 and at present every time I open OneNote I get this "We're Sorry. OneNote is cleaning up from the last time..." bulletin. It takes anywhere from a 20 seconds to v minutes" to complete and sometimes never finishes at all forcing me to striking abolish and try over again. Microsoft is merely begging people to await elsewhere for their OS and office software at this indicate. Its bad plenty that I am forced to use this Part 365 junk, which ways I tin can hardly apply any add-ins and am manner overpaying for my license, and at present the base software itself isn't even working.
Oh this is rich, at present it is just hung on this message with the bar completely filled. It won't finish and I can't cancel or shut it. Great but slap-up.

Clear your C:\users\%userprofile%\appdata\local\temp folder.
I exercise that regularly to clear up cached file issues like this and it resolved it for me.
